What people often refer to as "schizophrenia" is actually Dissociative Identity Disorder

Yes its true. I was informed by a Psychology student who objected to Bill Murray's line from yesterday's post:
"Roses are red, violets are blue. I'm a Schizophrenic... and so am I."
-Bill Murray as 'Bob' in the movie "What About Bob?"

He stated:
Schizophrenia is not defined by multiple personalities, but by distortion and separation of mental functions resulting in hallucination, delusions, disorganized behaviour and speech and lack of emotion/social ability. What people often refer to as "schizophrenia" is actually Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Yeah, but then the line wouldn't be that funny then would it? :)

I'm not really Schizophrenic. I'm just a little bit nuts!

HOLY CRAP!!! I’m going to be 38 years old. This is not good. This is freakin’ me out, man. I have to calm down. There are too many things to do this week to worry about my failing bones and body!

In summary: I have month end financials to close at work, I have to pick up Donna’s mom at LAX tonight. Jessica’s 8th grade graduation is Thursday night. Donna’s graduation is on Saturday. Jacob’s tee-ball game is at the same time. My birthday is Saturday. Next Wednesday is Donna’s Pinning ceremony… and did I forget to mention that I need to finish month end financials by the 7th? Holy CRAP!

SAY IT WITH ME!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!

It’s the first day of June today. In sixth grade there was a girl in my class named Cynthia. Today is her birthday. I don’t know why I remember that. Oh, and on June 15th it will be Marcel’s, another childhood friend’s, birthday. And on June 7th it will be Tina’s birthday! I knew Marcel and Tina way back in Kindergarten. Sometimes I’ll see Marcel and or Tina at church with their kids. We will all be 38 years old this month. Despite my old age, its good to know I still have a memory.

I'm going to have a panic attack!

[deep breath]

[and another]

[one more]

and… done. Don't you hate it when that happens?

Okay. Back to some fun stuff…

I took pictures of Jake and Bella on Monday. We also went to the park and I did some playing around with the camera using manual F-stop settings and changing the ISO to 400 on some of the pictures. The 400 setting gave the pics a grainer look. Normally the camera automatically picks the ISO and its usually at 50 for a more sharp, detailed look. All were in focus, but the grainer feel was interesting. I’m not sure I’m sold on this ‘look’ but some photographers really like it.

Here are some of my favorites:

You know, Jake is really hating this photography thing. I'm sorry Jakey!!! I need to find more bribes.

A rare, peaceful moment before the madness begins.

Jake was doing some negotiating telling Bella it wasn't that scary. She's pretty much fearless and doesn't need much coaxing to slide, but it sure looks daunting from this pic doesn't it?

Here's a moment I loved. I don't know what Jake was looking at. But the look from his sister is priceless!

Bella will climb just about anything. She climbed up to this platform and is at the edge... which put me on edge.

:)

This pic was set at ISO 400. Jessica took the picture. She has one of those natural eyes when it comes to photography - as you can see.

Again, at ISO 400. Jessica took yet another great picture! Can you see the grainyness?

This is a painting on the wall of a restaurant we went to have Boba. Low light situation made me adjust the F-stop to its lowest level. I had to hold the camera extremely still and finally got one in focus.

I'm thinking that I'll be getting a new camera for my birthday. I have this feeling my light meter isn't all that acurate as the camera has been dropped TWICE since my ownership. Once at Disneyland and the other at Disneyland. You'd think WE'D learn, huh? I tested its meter with another and it gave different results. So a new camera is definately warranted - especially for a birthday present!

The end of school/beginning of summer is so hectic. I usually self medicate a bit with a nice big jack & coke to get through it. Your kids are SO BEAUTIFUL!
